Fusion 2 Exhibition

The Susan Chen Foundation was the main sponsor of this innovative project which brought together five western artists working with Carrara marble in Italy and five local artists working with wood in Hong Kong. Working in pairs they completed each others’ sculptures to create 30 collaborative sculptures which were exhibited at the Asia Society Centre in March to July 2023.

The idea was to create an artistic fusion between different cultures, techniques and materials, while also fostering a special kind of collaboration requiring dialogue, mutual respect and a good dose of humility. All this was made available to the public free of charge, and the Asia Society organised a host of events for the community around this exhibition.
